Where Our Plumbing Story Began

Around 17–18 years ago, our owner, Will, began his plumbing career at another East Bay area company. To say the least, the experience was eye-opening.

The company’s business practices were unprofessional and often quite shady. The plumbers were asked to essentially con the customers into paying more.

They did this by putting roots in their sewer lines, among other things.

At the same time, his brother was working at a company called Rhino Rooter. Will decided that the dishonesty at his current company was not something he could align himself with, so he moved on to work alongside his brother.

The time he spent working for Rhino Rooter opened his eyes to an entirely new experience – being a great plumber with honest business practices.

Will was the General Manager of the company until it closed its doors. During that period, he established a solid reputation for being honest and reliable – something that carried over into Avalon Rooter.
